Considering MSI Netbooks? What You Should Know

by GuestPoster on June 9, 2010

MSI netbooks are one of the many different brand names of netbooks on the market nowadays.  Netbooks are becoming increasingly popular as they are small and easier to carry around.  For a businessperson who travels frequently, having a light netbook is more convenient than a bulkier laptop.

There are different models and sizes of MSI netbooks and what kind you get will most likely depend on your needs.  For those who do a lot of graphics work it is important that the netbook have a large hard drive, as graphics files and programs are large and take up a lot of room.  For those who depend heavily on the Internet, having a netbook that can connect no matter where you are is priority, whereas the amount of hard drive may not be as important.  Assess your needs so that you know what is most important to you.

You can get a MSI 10″ netbook in white, gray or blue for anywhere between $270 – $300.  These are the smallest size of netbook that MSI makes, but be aware that while they are very handy for traveling such small netbooks are quite difficult to type on, as the keyboard is quite small.  If you work involves a lot of typing you may want to consider getting something just a bit larger, such as one of MSI’s 12″ netbooks.  These sell in the range of $430 – $470, depending on where you buy them and what exact model you get.  Buying MSI netbooks for sale online is often cheaper than buying them at a brick and mortar retail computer store.

When you buy the netbook, no matter what kind you buy; make sure you know what kind of warranty it has on it.  If you travel a lot then getting a netbook with international warranty is the best, as that way, if something breaks while you are out of your home country, you do not need to wait until you return to have it repaired or replaced.
